A photographic journey among hidden and forgotten buildings around the world, by photographer Sara Starkström.
From 29 March until 2 November 2025.
There are few places in this world where man has not yet left an imprint. If you look hard enough, you will also find places that have once been
conquered and shaped, but have since been abandoned and desolate. These dilapidated and forgotten places are rediscovered by urban
explorers (or urbexers) – curious-minded surveyors who document such places before they disappear forever.
This season’s temporary exhibition Forgotten Places, which is on display at five different places on the castle’s ground floor, takes you along on a
photographic journey together with urbex artist Sara Starkström. During a decade-long quest, she travelled the world to discover places that have
been lost.
Welcome to a secret world.
